I woke up this morning and my hubcap was gone. This happens sometimes - it's detachable.

...

Okay, enough of the poorly-thought-out King Missile parody. This morning, when I went out to the car to drive to work, I noticed that the front passenger-side hubcap was missing. I don't remember if it was there last night or not; I'm just so used to it being there that I think I took it for granted. Personally, I think that we lost it somewhere on the road last night, because who in their right mind would steal one hubcap from a '97 Geo Metro, especially when that hubcap shows a decent amount of wear and tear on it? Of course, anyone that would steal such a hubcap isn't in their right mind anyway and would be totally unpredictable, so who knows? Or perhaps the hubcap was tired of being taken for granted and wandered off to find a car owner that would respect it for the piece of ornamental plastic it is...

...okay, it most likely just rolled off on the road, but the other possibilities are fun to conceptualize. :)

So, crux of the story - I'm missing a hubcap, and apparently it's $30 or so to replace it, according to what I've found online. I think I can wait on it for a while.
