The A/C's on in the office, but it's just barely keeping things tolerable. Went home early from church yesterday from overheating too. It's just been brutal out there for those of us with defective internal cooling systems. Holding ice in my hands seems to work, but it makes my hands wet and makes typing difficult. :P

My birthday approaches... in a week and a day, I'll be 26. Not expecting anything fancy -- especially since I work that day. My big present is going to be the one to myself - the new computer that I've got spec'ed out. Whole thing's going to run me about $560 (once you throw in the $100 my parents are contributing for a new video card.) After that, it's scrimping and saving until we move. Should be fun putting my computer together, though. I shall have much techno-joy.

The weekend was really low-key. Other than heading over to my parents' house for the Fourth, there wasn't much going on. Grocery shopping on Saturday, church on Sunday, and then nothing. Our Sunday evening plans got changed at the last minute, so we stayed in and just chilled. The weekend had interesting meals, too - we ate chicken that wasn't chicken, and burgers that weren't really burgers. What they were, though, was "really tasty," which is the important thing.

My energy levels have been strange lately, too. They've been really subdued. My appetite's been good, my mood is chipper, and my sex drive's been through the roof (yet again - I don't think it's dropped since I was a teenager). Still, I just feel like napping sometimes. I don't feel run-down or fatigued... just mildly sleepy. Feels like it's eternally naptime right now. Caffeine helps me hit equilibrium, but I don't want to become dependent on it for my vim and vigor.

Vim. There's a word that isn't used nearly enough. "Pote" is another one. I mean, if something is potable (drinkable), then it stands to reason that you can pote it, right? I think I shall pote some water in the hopes that it'll chill me down. :)
