And that's why being a ninja is so cool. ^_^

Had a good weekend. Saturday was the D&D game, and before that Dan and I hung out and did the DBZ thing. (Just because I've quit buying cards for the game and gave all my cards to Dan doesn't mean I'll refuse to play.) The D&D game itself was fun, even if my druid did lose both animal companions -- which is a real shame, since the bear was the best fighter in the party! It'll be interesting to see what happens in two weeks, now that this little quest is finished.

Sunday was a busy day, but it didn't feel hurried at all. It was just a really good day. Got to church to hear a good sermon on slowing down and finding a place where you can get in touch with God. Afterwards (during second service at church), Z and I walked over to Panera's, ordered a breadbowl of potato soup, found a nice, quiet, secluded booth, and finished reading Mere Christianity for our C.S. Lewis reading group. (By the way, if anyone is at all interested in a great book that examines the core of Christianity in a logical, conversational manner, read this book). It was a good time to just read and talk and share and be close. Afterwards, helped with teardown and ran out to Cargo Largo to get a copy of DDR MAX... and was denied (they switched out their inventory and had a new set of games in). But... we did get a new computer chair for Z so that I could toss my crappy little rolly chair and reclaim the throne that Z's been using. ^_^

Afterwards, slurpies. Slurpies good, and in more ways than one.

Sunday night was the C.S. Lewis group with Ashley and Garrett, where good food (yummy chicken pesto pasta) and good conversation/discussion were followed by an hour of DDR. I ache today, but I had a lot of fun putting myself through my paces. I'm trying harder and harder songs, trying to keep the challenge up and keep improving. It's the only way I'll improve.

And holy crap! This is awesome: The Ultimate DDR Bundle

This week looks like a good week; mini painting, bouncing around ideas for which game I want to run (Mutants and Masterminds, Forgotten Realms, or d20 Rokugan), tweaking Warlord decks, and loving on my Z. What more can a gamer geek want? ^_^
