Home sick today again... this drainage thing has settled in my throat, and now my trachea feels swollen. No problems breathing or eating, thank God, but the coughing and soreness and sinus headaches and such are wearing me down. Feels like I'm almost over it, though. Here's hoping I can go back to work tomorrow.

Been playing more Final Fantasy Origins... I didn't realize how much the original FF was like D&D. Multiple attacks as your character levels up, and spell slots. They've also got Mind Flayers that kill you if they get 3 hits on you in a single attack (to represent the whole "tentacles burrow into your head and suck out your brain" thing). Don't know if that was in the original FF, but it's an interesting enhancement, to say the least. Sucks to be on the receiving end of that.

And it's been an all-cover night down here at Chez Barr... no songs will be played by their original performers!

yup, those mind flayers were in the NES version of the game...don't remember it being three hits, just remember that sometimes when they hit you, BAM you're outta there...
