It's just crazy enough to work!

I have a crazy money-making idea for supporting my other hobbies... painting minis and selling them online. From what I've seen, I could buy a $3 mini and turn it into $15 to $30 on eBay.

Of course, I have a backlog of Dennis minis (and Dan minis, and I think I still have some Seth minis in there too) to finish, but it's something to look forward to doing. And of course, if I do want to do this, more reason to get the backlog finished sooner, neh?

I didn't know you guys were looking at a house. Hope that works out for you, since my hatred of apartments knows little rival.

If it helps at all, I'm willing to donate my backlogged minis to the Robert Is Going To Paint These And Sell Them Online To Perhaps Turn a Profit and Work Towards Getting A House Sometime In the Near Future Fund.

Yeah, a friend of our family is moving to Colorado soon, and he may owner-finance the house to Z and I. Could be a really good deal, with the rent being about the same, if not a bit lower, than what we pay for our apartment.

And wow... I appreciate the offer. I don't know if the ones I have almost finished are good enough to sell (I've improved somewhat since then) but I'll keep that in mind...

(And yeah, that name does need work... an acronym, though... RIGTOPTASTOTOPTAPAWTGAHS... no, not quite that either... ^_^ )

Hi,m just breezin through, did a search on Rokugan to see if any L5R players haunted this place and your name came up. Hope ya dont mind me hoppin and leavin a hello note.

Paintin minis and selling them DOES work.
A buddy of mine painted up a stand of Egyptian minis (20 x 15mm figures) and sold them for over £100 (on ebay).

Don't mind at all! I don't play the L5R CCG anymore, but I'm still into the RPG (at least, the d20 flavor of it).

As for L5R, I never really got into the CCG full time. I dabbled a little, but the RPG (1st ed) is where its at for me ;)
