Oh, I'm feeling the tech wubbie today. What's a wubbie, you ask?

wub-bie (wuhb-bee) n. 1) A strong habitual craving or desire for an activity or material item. 2) The item or activity that satisfies such a craving, such as a security blanket.

So I'm feeling the tech wubbie today - I want to trick out my computer and make it glow. I want to make it bigger, faster, better, more. As Eddie Izzard would put it, I want techno-joy. Of course, this happens when you've got a slow day at work (because we're in a holding pattern before starting on six projects we've signed) and you're geeking out with your fellow developer... and you start browsing ThinkGeek and HardDrive.com to look at the toys...

LCD flat screens. Aluminum cases. Window kits. Cold cathode tubes. Rounded cables. Dremel tools. Mobos. P4 processors. DDR memory. These are a few of my favorite things.

Or they would be, if I could afford them. As is, I can afford piece-by-piece upgrades, but nothing huge. And so the tech wubbie goes unfed...

...but it's nice to dream sometimes.

Bah. I don't need them to build my computer for me. I just need the parts. :)
