Grr. Look like no Freespace 2 for me. The game took forever to install, but ran fine once I started it up -- until the second training mission. Turns out that my old Sidewinder Precision Pro joystick has a bad habit of sending my ship into random spins while firing off all my missiles. This could make playing the game more difficult than I'd expected.

Fortunately, I have a gameport-to-USB adapter, so let's see if that helps. If not, it may be a space-sim-less life for me until I get a new joystick.
