It's Monday. I'm telecommuting because of the snow. The glare outside my window from the snow is giving me a headache. Somehow, my desire to actually do productive work today just went on vacation, and it's taking all the discipline I can muster to not give up and just vegetate. Z suggests doping myself up with caffeine, and I think it sounds like a capital idea.

Lessee... what else has been up? Well, we got our federal return on Friday, so Saturday night we ordered a new graphics tablet for Z. Should be here within a couple of days (thank you, 2-day shipping), and then she'll have her new 9" x 12" Wacom Intuos2 USB tablet. This should keep her in good shape for the foreseeable future; I can't imagine that she'll need anything bigger than that, considering that her sketchbooks are also 9" x 12". I look forward to seeing what she turns out with a bigger, more precise, angle-sensitive tablet. :)

Tried rebuilding some Warlord decks last night, and really only got one done -- and that one was a copy of one found online, with just a few tweaks. I'm finding that my skill at building Warlord decks is very similar to my L5R deckbuilding skill; in other words, it's damn near non-existant. I just don't grok what makes a good Warlord deck. Of course, I'm also a few months out of practice, since I haven't played since late November/early December. I love the game, and I'm going to give it another go, so I won't give up yet. I just need to see and play against more decks to see what works and what doesn't.

And, of course, DBZ still 0wns me right now. (Well, technically, God owns me, but He's renting me out to DBZ for the time being. :) This game appeals to me the way Rage does/did -- I can get horribly beaten down by a superior deck, or just by the one kind of deck that trumps mine, and I don't get discouraged in the least. I just want a rematch, maybe after I tweak my deck, maybe against another deck, or maybe just another game in a row. I just love playing. It hits all my gaming buttons in all the right places. (Which reminds me, I still have a bunch of Rage to re-sort too.)

And to finish it up, a quote from Dennis's D&D game:

"Who is fighting? Oh my God, bear is fighting! How can that be?"
