Wow. A busy night, but a good one.

Got taxes done - my initial calculations were a bit off, but we're still getting back about $1,870 after processing fees. Thanks to the wonders of online tax preparation and direct deposit, it should all be in my checking account within a couple of weeks or so.

Also beat Kingdom Hearts tonight, after about a 3-month hiatus from playing the game; getting a GameCube with Metroid Prime will delay other games like that. :) However, it was good to go back and finish KH, since it's one of the few over-the-shoulder 3D games I can stand (the other's Super Mario Sunshine). Of course, by the end of the game, my character had a level in the low 80s and the most powerful weapon in the game, so the final battles weren't all that tough, or even time-consuming, really. I pulled a Dan and went out of my way to remove all challenge from the game, and I'd say I was successful. :)

Pulling Dans.

Man, there's so many definitions of "pulling a Dan" now.

There's the DOA-based definition, where trying to hit someone, only to be JUST out of range and pummeled for it.

There's the RPG-based definition referred to above, where I like to power-level and whip out the Black Dick of Justice on the end bosses and laugh because I'm so powerful they can't touch me.

I think we even came up with a DBZ-based definition too, but I can't think of it right now, it's starting to get late. ^_^

j00 r t3h r|c}{! Taxes kill me because it's just the government paying you back on a no-interest loan they take out of all your checks. The fuckers.

Pulling a Dan sounds alot more fun than pulling a Seth, where you remove all hope of enjoying a game by bullheadedly refusing any outside source of information and eventually getting so mad that the controller must meet the swift justice of carpet impact.

Speaking of which, I should beat Prime eventually.

Eh, we're not t3h r1c}{. The first 10% goes back to church. Of the remaining, two-thirds goes into savings, and the remaining third goes to help pay off bills. I might be able to set aside around $100 for personal purchases, but that's about it. Now, when we're out of debt and have a huge savings account, then you can call us t3h r1c}{. :)
