I love money problems, don't you?
Oct. 26th, 2001 05:14 pmUgh.
Let me reiterate that. Ugh.
There's nothing like serious money troubles to really make you feel not-so-good, y'know? As you may know from reading my journal or my wife's journal, our dog recently came back from the vet's. That medical care cost us $309, but that's okay, because they're holding the check for three weeks for us, and we've got our security deposit from our old apartment coming back, right?
So I just called the old apartment complex. Oh, we've got a check coming, but it's only $120. We were expecting 3 to 4 times that amount. Add in the fact that my company hasn't been giving out bonuses for the last two months, and you can plainly see that we're having money problems.
Now, it's not totally bleak. The pay schedule here at work is coming out just so that I can lump a few bills together and pay them on the next paycheck and still be on time... but then, that's the one that has the vet bill taken out of it. So we'll STILL be tight. I mean, I've already been skipping a couple of bills... can't afford to skip too many more.
Hopefully, Z will get that job at Barnes and Noble... or a job at Sally's Beauty Supply... or a job at Kohl's or Bed Bath and Beyond or SOMEWHERE. B&N interviews next week, so all I can do is hope and pray that she gets that job. We need it badly. But in the mean time, we're dirt poor.
Okay, maybe not dirt poor, but pretty damn poor.
So, this weekend, I guess we look at things we can sell. I know I've got some cards that I can pawn off on eBay for a little cash, and maybe Z can sell some prints of art or somesuch. We'll see what we can do with PayPal and get some instant gratification.
Anywho, all I ask is that you pray for us, because we've got some rough sailing ahead.
