My new laptop has shipped. Dell expects it to arrive tomorrow. I can hardly wait. Octavian will finally have a fellow portable companion. :)

I'll miss the old desktop system. He's given me a good run over the past five years. However, I still look forward to dismantling him and distributing what parts are still worthwhile to various friends. Hey, kei_neko, want some fans and a new video card? :)

I'll gladly steal the fans from you. As for the card, you can save that for someone else. I think Dad and I are looking into alternatives for my current situation with the Motherboard and Card. But I really really appreciate the offer Rob :) Congrats on the fast shipping!

I've got four 80mm fans (including one that glows blue), so as many as your case will take are yours.

Want a blue cold cathode tube? Not that your case has a window, but it'd make any vents and ports glow blue as well. :P

How new is the video card? If no one else is interested, I might be. My computer's about six years old, and graphics are getting choppy on a few things. So I'm wondering if that might be something which would help, if it'd fit.

It's a Radeon x1650 Pro, so if you've got an AGP port in your PC, it's yours.

Also, how much memory do you have? I'll have two 512MB sticks of DDR 333 (PC2700) memory available, so if your motherboard will accept it, that'll get you up to 1GB if you're not there already. That would also help your performance.

I have no idea what the guts of my machine look like, to be perfectly honest. I haven't looked at the specs since I ordered it. If you're swinging by on thursday evening, would you care to have a look? As far as Memory, I'm pretty sure I have at least 1 gig, but I know I can doublecheck that tonight when I get in from work.
