A few years ago, I was some bizarre mix of athiest and Taoist. While not vehemently anti-Christian, I was pretty closed-minded to the idea of following that religion. I think I was mostly spoiled by by-the-numbers church services and people who were Christian in name only. The fact that my dad considered religion and philosophy to be "mental masturbation" didn't help much either.
Today, I'm growing into my Christian faith, spurred on by the changes I've seen in my dad since his spiritual transformation. I'm reading C.S.Lewis's Mere Christianity to get a better insight into my own beliefs, and discussing how God works with people on online forums. Quite the 180 I've pulled, I must say.
