So quiet

It's the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, and I'm the only one here in my department (which is doubly ironic, as I'm the one who knows the least about the company's systems). I don't have a lot of work, but I've got a project to work on, so it's good to be able to think out loud without making anyone worry about my sanity. Looking forward to the weekend, not as a getaway, but just as a chance to spend more time with my family again.

I also have my (minimal) Black Friday plans. It does involve a slight bit of camping out, but not until 7 AM, and it's for the Greater Good. :)

EDIT: Looks like we're shutting down today at Noon. An earlier weekend for me!

I start work at 7 on BF. Frightened beyond belief.

Didn't tell my boss that though...

You, and my other friends who work retail on the 23rd, have my deepest sympathy.

It's also why I'm only patronizing a small shop where I know the owner personally. I don't want to contribute to the overall insanity.

the good news for me is the shop I work in isn't having any sales as I have been informed, so we're basically just catching people who are rushing about.

Lucky you. This place is like a ghost town except for my department. I wish they -would- let us out early.
