Tau battleforce assembly, part 1
Jan. 21st, 2007 11:14 pmThis weekend,
kbrighton and I got together to start constructing our Warhammer 40,000 armies. I had a Crisis Suit Commander and the Tau Battleforce boxed set to put together. Out of 37 models, I got 20 of them done before I ran out of superglue.

Everything that I have done so far, in all its unpainted glory.

My commander. Don't be fooled by his apparent size; he's surprisingly tiny.

A close up on some of my Fire Warriors. I'm really pleased with how just a few slight variations in arm and leg poses, in the right combinations, leaves you with a very varied and dynamic looking force. Seems a lot less static than the figs in the game back when I was in college.

My Devilfish, which will be busy carrying around those Fire Warriors. Officially the biggest figure/vehicle I've put together for 40k. Pay no attention to the ugly looking join lines; those have mostly been sanded down.
I still have 4 more gun drones, 12 kroot, and a crisis suit to put together, but those can wait until I can stock back up on superglue. After that, I get to embark upon the journey of painting them.
EDIT: One thing I don't like about this LJ layout - it truncates photos width-wise. Have to see what I can do about that.
