Thanks to advice from greenwings, I was able to get my wipers unfrozen - turned out that there was thick sleet/ice frozen completely around all of the works, below where I could get to them.

Tomorrow, I try to drive. I hear that the highways are good, though.

The highways are fine now. They were mostly dry when I drove home from work this evening.
