Finally, a brief break in the flow of work, where I can put my thoughts on my LJ...

Well, after almost a week of gloomy grey skies (pewter skies, Z calls them), there's finally some variation in color. Okay, they're still grey, but it doesn't look like one solid ceiling of grey. The clouds run the gamut from white to a medium grey, and have distinct edges and fluff... and there's no fog obscuring everything more than a mile out. It's a nice change of pace for once. In a couple of days, we should see sunshine again.

Well, no leads from my job search yet, but I keep plugging away. Turns out another co-worker has an interview on Friday, and if he gets hired, we're down to two developers. More money to go around, but more work than we can handle. Part of me wishes him luck, and part of me wishes he'd stay just long enough for me to leave first. :P

On the other hand, work's been productive and not totally stressful for once. Been making the customers happy, which is always a good feeling. Making them see reason is even better. Problem solving is best. In the last 2 days, I've done all three. If not for the over-work and under-pay, I'd love to stay here. Perhaps the situation will improve, and I won't have to leave... but best to keep my options open, y'know?

Not really looking forward to a few weeks without Z, and yet I'm exploring the options of what I can do. Her computer will be gone, so I'll have my mini-painting table available again -- and no Ein to interrupt me or steal minis! I'll also have my big comfy leather chair at the computer again, which will be nice. I'll be free to do whatever I want and not have to make Z time. I love her dearly, but I think a couple of weeks as a pseudo-bachelor won't be so bad. I will miss the female company, the soothing presence, and the intimate time together, but she'll be back and we can make up for lost time. :)

Oh, and looking forward to schooling my old man in Warcraft III for a while... well, until he gets the hang of it. Should be fun, though. :)

you could always hop the train and come down for a few days ^_^ we can go to the top of the Arch and jump up and down on the glass plate floor to give everyone a good scare!

Kidding. We gotta go to the science center to do that.

Two weeks as a bachelor? It is your duty as a male to make as large of a mess as possible and then mystically have it all clean by the time Z returns.
