Jul. 9th, 2006 09:53 amOur oven, it is broken. Somehow, the baking element broke and started arcing, causing it to incandense pretty brightly, not unlike a lightbulb. It's an old oven, so I suppse it's due to have something break on it. Good news is, I have a part number, and if I can't find a local provider, I can order it online.
Still, until then, the breaker to our oven is shut off, meaning no range-top cooking, baking, or broiling. With a microwave, an electric grill, a larger gas grill, and a deep fryer, though, I think we should be okay for the interim.
