Busy Day

This morning was one of the first mornings that I felt really, really good. Good thing, too, because it was time to fix the leaky shower diverter. Dad came by, and we went out in search for parts -- I defer to his plumbing/home repair expertise, but I am starting to learn. Took two stops, but we found replacements for all the parts that were worn/corroded beyond use. Got home, took the assembly apart, and put it back together with all new bits. The shower works, but we haven't tested running it for a length of time to see if water starts seeping out from behind the wall again. After he left, I took an opportunity to take the hot water valve apart and replace a worn washer, so it's not leaking either. Z says that I have earned many man points for doing that repair myself. ^_^

Got some carry-out Chinese for dinner, since Z's a bit sick, and got some delicious Beef with Broccoli (which I ordered over the phone myself - another minor victory against social anxiety!). Along with this, I got the following fortune:

Apparently, the Fortune of Fortune Cookies has deemed me to be some sort of minor demi-deity. I've had a good day, but I don't think I'm quite that cool. :P
