Oct. 6th, 2005 12:30 pmI think work stress is starting to chip at me again, mostly because now I'm really starting to be thrust into my management position, and I'm doing it while I have a half-dozen other things on deck. It's making it hard to focus on any one thing (which is always the case with me), which leaves me frustrated and not as productive as I'd like. Of course, if I'm not managing, then the people under me are not as productive as they would like, because they're expecting my guidance to point them in the right direction, and my experience to answer any questions they may have.
(Wow, sounds like I'm on the other side of some of my old complaints.)
I figure I'll find the right balance of producting and leading eventually; in the meantime, I have to learn to keep my frustration to a minimum, or at least find ways to control it and/or vent it constructively.
