If anyone's trying to reach tesstrosa online at home, well, you won't, because our Comcast cable modem has decided that for the last 24 hours, it doesn't want to connect. It wants to get really close to connecting, but actually connecting is a bit of a stretch for it. It's been off and on for the last week or so, and it's just getting tiresome at this point. Time to call them up, I think.

EDIT: Amusingly infuriating note -- when you work through their phone system, after you select the option for "I'm having problems with my Comcast hi-speed internet", you get a voice message of, "You can also reach us online at www.comcast.com." No I can't! If I could, we wouldn't be having this conversation!

All the modem needs is a little love, man. Right when it's connecting maybe she could pet it and talk about how much of a good widdle modem it is. Either that or just say "you know, the internet is where they keep the porn." That reminder tends to get most people able to find their connection again, so I bet it'd work here.

Normally, we nockers fix things by threatening them and/or swearing at them... not too hard, though, or whatever we're working on will break.

And yes, I've tried the "reassuring" thing. This porn idea, though... it intrigues me.
