I need a good, thin, vertically aligned image for my journal background. Tried putting in one of my favorite Jiraiya/Tsunade images, but since you can't resize elements in the Component layout (or at least, I have not yet found how to do so), it just doesn't look right. It only shows half of Jiraiya's drunken face, and none of the Tsunade behind him (nor does it show the thought bubbles that make this clear that it's all a happy, happy dream). So far, I've found nothing that quite fits, but I'll keep on hunting...

In other news, running a Spycraft tourney tonight at PF. Poor, poor Spycraft. Only a very few even like you. Perhaps if you weren't so clumsily designed and badly balanced, and if your intended audience didn't already have heavy investments in other card games, you might have succeeded. As is, I see you going for one, maybe two more expansions. I doubt you'll get a second base set, although AEG may decided to finish you off with one. It doesn't help that you're a very aggravating game as well, voted by our playgroup as "Hardest Game to Keep Friendly," as most strategies revolve around utterly removing your opponent's ability to actually play the game.

Also, I'm finally getting a couple of small jobs finished at work, just in time for the next big one to hit. Work keeps flowing steadily, and this is a good thing. Steady work means steady income, and steady income hopefully means a stable, happy company. We're a far cry from the slump of a few years ago, when each day we kept wondering if we'd still have a job the next morning. I've been here for over six years now, and it's been interesting to see the ups and downs in the industry. Of course, now we're getting to a time when the new developers are school-trained, not self-trained as I am. I'm sometimes a bit intimidated by the skill level of the people coming in, and by their wide array of knowledge, but at the same time I know that I do my job, and I do my job well, and that I shouldn't worry. I just need to remember to tinker in my spare time to keep my chops up.

The Squire's Banner? Sure, I'll take it if you don't want it. You're welcome to that In Time of War if, for any reason, you need another one. ^^
