Staying busy, getting work done. A little tired from the daylight savings switch, but I'm sure the weather (look, more gray skies!) isn't helping.

Had a good weekend, culminating in a fun Halloween get-together. Good to see people getting together and just having a good time. Some nice costumes, too. [livejournal.com profile] evildennis had his Spike Spiegel costume, [livejournal.com profile] hidaman was in Volt Kreuger garb (from The Bouncer), [livejournal.com profile] richman1 had a slick pirate costume, and [livejournal.com profile] greenwings, [livejournal.com profile] animarelic, and [livejournal.com profile] fallofrain had on some really sweet RenFest-style garb. [livejournal.com profile] tesstrosa once again wore her wonderful Tsunade costume... and me? I had my super-quick budget Konoha ninja costume. It's funny, the head protector cost more than the rest of the costume put together. Actually looked pretty good, considering. [livejournal.com profile] kitsuandy recognized it immediately when I walked into Pulp Fiction, so I'm happy.

Fun just to hang out with friends, and pass around the Gamecube controllers as we schooled each other in Naruto: Gekitou Ninja Taisen 2. Thank you, God, for imported Japanese games, for they are a lot of fun with friends. Also, [livejournal.com profile] katzchen gave me the hookup on spare Magic commons. Yes, I'm back into Magic, but in a VERY limited sense -- only planning on getting cards for Champions of Kamigawa and its two expansion sets. Once the Japanese-influenced sets are done, so am I. Just something to play with friends in our spare time.

Hrm. This would be a good time to take a nap, if I didn't have things to do at the moment.

We need to play L5R someday.

Unfortunately, I don't play anymore. I've since moved on; the game just doesn't appeal to me as much anymore. It's just not as much fun as it was back in the early days, before our area became infatuated with the tournament scene.
