Haven't written much in the last couple of days, partly because I've been busy, partly because I've been all over the map emotionally. Up, down, awake, tired, happy, sad, content, frustrated, horny, chaste... You could plot me on all 5 axes and have some sort of weird five-dimensional hyper-cube of my emotions. Part of it may be connected to sleeping. The past two days, my chest, shoulders, neck, and back have all been sore, with occasional aches at various spots. I wonder if I'm tossing and turning a lot at night, or if we just need to turn the mattress around/over.

(Of course, being the paranoid hypochondriac that I am, every time I get an ache on my left side, I start worrying that my heart's about to go. Then I get one on my right side or in my neck, and that fear goes away.)

As always, focusing on work is a struggle, but I have a task board now, and it's been a help. Having a constant visual reminder of what I have to work on keeps me decently motivated, and prioritizing everything through a color code (thank you, fine point Dry-Erase markers!) lets me know what's urgent and what's back-burner. I'm hoping I can spin this motivation further into keeping focused on work and becoming more skilled and more productive. We'll see how it goes.

Z and I are considering starting up a Japanese language study group. Batted around the idea last night, and with the books we have on loan from greenwings and animarelic, we think we could come up with some halfway decent homework assignments. :) Besides, nothing like having a group environment to keep each other accountable and studying.

Other than playing Def Jam: Fight for New York, though, and hanging with my people over the weekend, not much has been going on. Have things to do, I'm sure, just got to get around to doing them.
