So I'm on a new plan...
Previous insurance deductions per month: $30.
Current insurance deductions per month: $419.88
Yes, it hurts, it hurts. It makes with the burning. Now, granted, we get a lot more coverage... a good dental plan, $100K life insurance for me, $50K life insurance for Z, and (most importantly) medical coverage for Z (which is the lion's share of the new amount -- $319.38 a month). Also, those deductions are pre-tax now, so in reality, it ends up being effectively somewhere around $300.
Still, though, nothing like a 1000% increase in deductions from my paychecks. Time to start shopping at Aldi's and/or sell that kidney I'm not using.
