...and from wet to white.
Dec. 27th, 2008 09:21 pmEarly this morning (and I do mean early) we had heavy thunderstorms moving through, which drove the dog into fits of frantic, fearful barking. This cut about two to three hours off of my normal sleeping pattern, and made no one happy. They finally moved through around 10:00 or 11:00 AM, and everything switched to merely being cold. The high yesterday? 67. The high today (not counting the early morning hours when it plummeted)? 32. The swampy ground refroze, any wet surfaces became icy, and there was talk of snow moving in.
While Andi hung out with her nana,
the_z and I took advantage of the time without the chibi and went out. When we got back to our car after a nice break browsing about one of the local malls, it was covered in a thin layer of light, dusty snow, and we drove through snow showers all the way back home. Everything is cold, frozen, and white again, right where it was when we left it on Christmas eve. The weather's mood swings have come full circle.
On a side note, the Suncoast Video up at Oak Park Mall is going out of business, so everything is half off. This allowed me to pick up discs 2 through 5 of Desert Punk for $20. Now I just need to find a copy of disc 6, and my boxed set will be complete. :)
