From white to wet.
Dec. 26th, 2008 03:54 pmChristmas started out white, with chilly temperatures and fresh snow from the day before. By the end of the day, it was a wet Christmas, most of the snow having thawed and left everything muddy. Today has seen temperatures in the mid 60s. In one week, we've gone from single digits to springlike. Gotta love that schizophrenic Missouri weather.
My stocking at work contained $250 in American Express gift cards, so combined with the Best Buy gift cards I received, I was able to pick up Gears of War 2 and Fallout 3 for $70 that didn't come out of the bank account. That should keep me busy with gaming for a while (along with WoW and FFTA2, which I already have). I also received the Citadel spray paint gun that I'd asked for, so I'll be able to paint the 3 Tau tanks and 2 Piranhas in my army in no time. I'm planning on jumping back into mini painting this weekend, too.
Also, my mom was playing the new Prince of Persia game on her 360 until 1:30 AM. I think she's hooked, but then she's a sucker for 3rd-person action-adventure games. It's taking her a little while to get used to the 360's controller - she's used to the Gamecube and the PS2 - but I think she'll do just fine. :)
