One of the mildly annoying things about being between employments is having to pretty much cut off any expenditures that aren't directly related to getting work or surviving. Unfortunately, that doesn't include new entertainment purchases. I'm having to forgo getting Bioshock (which saddens the_z, she wants to watch me play it) or Halo 3, and my Tau Megaforce is going to sit in layaway for a bit longer.

I'm not really complaining, mind you. I still have plenty of things that I already have to keep me occupied. Just the minor ramblings of someone who was hoping that his situation would be better than it is. I've got more leads out, though, and will keep putting more out, and will hope for plenty of freelance work in the meantime.

Let it be known that an inexpensive and absolutely delicious homemade steak dinner can make one's troubles just melt away. Oh sure, they'll come back... but in the meantime, I had steak.
