Unemploymentville. Population: still me.
Oct. 4th, 2007 10:45 amSo the bad news and the good news.
The bad news is, none of my leads for work have panned out. The placement service I've been using hasn't found any positions for me, and none of my resumes have had any action. Furthermore, my contract with my previous employer apparently bans me from doing web development business in the Kansas City area - they classify it as "indirect competition". Since that's kind of what I do, it puts me in a very tough situation.
The good news is that I've managed to line up some freelance work outside of the KC area, and that should cover me for a month or two. I've got some other leads on out-of-area freelance work as well, so I might be able to sustain this for a while. Wish me luck!
