Staying home today; it's fucking horrid outside. At 7 AM or so, there were at least 3 accidents reported on the news that were 3 miles or less from our house, one of which involved a fatality (although it was later revealed that it was due to the poor bastard not wearing a seatbelt). Called into work, and was basically told that if I don't have to be in the office, stay home. Sounds like solid advice to me, since its' a skating rink outside.

There is so much sleet outside that it looks like snow... until you walk on it, and then it feels like asphault under your feet, even in the grass.

That's just not right.
