May. 26th, 2003 11:55 pmWell, the Krillin costume's almost done; just have to put the Kame'sennin patches on it. But that's not why I'm writing this.
We just got back home from Mom and Dad's, and as we're walking from the car to the apartment, Ein goes on alert because he's spied something in the tall grass beyond the apartment complex. So I look to see what he's seen...
...and see a herd of deer. 3 does and a young buck, just grazing and wandering about. The buck heard Ein's collar and went on alert himself, keeping an eye on the wee corgi across the way. The does paused for a few moments, and then must have been given the "all clear", because they started walking back towards what little woods remain. I thought for sure we'd lost our deer around here thanks to the new construction - there's a new apartment complex going up where a beautiful grove of trees once stood - but seeing them again was very reassuring. I feel good knowing that they're doing okay.
