Well, the tires are replaced. $257.70 was the final bill, but that also includes free rotating/rebalancing every 6k-8k miles, a 65,000 mile warranty, and free tire repairs at all Sears and NTB locations, so I consider it to be a good deal. And judging from the car's behavior in the rain, these new tires throw out water pretty well; it handled quite nicely.

So I'm happy -- especially considering that savings will cover that tire repair and A-Kon, and still leave a bit left in savings to rebuild on.
