Stuff and things.
First of all, I'll get this out of the way: I want this.
Okay, what else? Had strange dreams this morning. I was in Kabul, Afghanistan, and I ducked into a convenience store. In a display case under the counter, I saw that they had Warlord and DBZ cards for sale. I was very tempted - I had plenty of money, and they had hard-to-find packs in there... but I couldn't do it. Even in my dreams, I was reminding myself that Lent was still a week away. Dennis chuckled at my plight - although I don't know why he was shopping for ramen in Afghanistan (he was in an aisle near the back of the store.)
Had a busy weekend, with much running around - Saturday saw Ein getting his claws trimmed, Dan watching the Avalance win their second playoff game against the Wild, Sir Robert getting backstabbed by Rreg'jen (it's a Warlord thing), and our D&D party wandering about the known world to get back on the story track Sunday was church, of course, and also our CS Lewis reading group and a cookout at my parent's house. Mom was supposed to fit Z for a costume, but she's become absorbed into Zelda: Wind Waker. Watching her play is interesting, because it's allowing me to see someone grow into being a gamer. Sometimes I want to correct how she's doing something because I think she's doing it wrong, but then I remember that I'm very familiar with these games and their conventions, and she's not. She's learning on her own, though, and I'm available for advice, which makes everyone happy.
And as
tesstrosa reported, we may be moving into a house in September/October. A friend of the family is moving to Colorado this year, and he might be willing to owner-finance us into buying his old house. The house payments and utilities and such would be comparable to what we're paying now, so it doesn't look like a bad deal at all. Nice looking house, too - not too big, but large enough for us, and very well maintained. If it works out, it'll be very nice.
