Teetering on the brink yet again.
Well, not me, but the company I work for.
Once again, we're waiting for a check to arrive before we get our paychecks. Work's been slow, and new projects have been few and far between. Most of our energy, when it's used, has been going to our secret project that we've sprung on the advertising community. So far, response has been good, and a lot of interest has been raised.
Unfortunately, there's no cash to go along with that interest quite yet.
We keep hearing, "Wow! This is awesome. It's exactly what we need!", but no one's buying yet. We've got one big firm interested in getting us investors and showing us off to more advertisers, but that deal is still in the works, and is still at least one meeting away from being finalized.
The product's ready, it's fully functional, we've got plans for more features in v2.0, we've got people using it on a demo basis to whet their appetite, and another client of ours is actually using a pre-1.0 version on a weekly basis. It's not vapor. It's a real product with lots of capabilities and even more potential.
So, where's the success we desperately need? Even just a little bit would save us at this point.
