Irregularly Scheduled Update
Dec. 13th, 2001 11:20 pmOh, just hadn't updated in a while, so I feel that it's almost time. What's been going on in my life?
- Work is, well... how can I say this? It's interesting, that's what it is. This problem client I've been writing all about is sometimes infuriating, sometimes frustrating, sometimes very cool to work with, and sometimes has us just scratching our heads. Don't get me wrong - I love my job. I wouldn't want to work anywhere else and do anything different. As Randal said in Clerks, "This job would be great if it weren't for the fucking customers." Oh well... it's part of the territory, and honestly, things are improving. Now that we've got Les acting as contact and project manager, I no longer get 40+ emails a day from them!
- Speaking of Les, we played a game of chess while on a (utterly pointless) conference call with said client. Beat him, too. It was nice to play chess. I don't think I've played a game in several months, when Adam was playing e-mail chess with me. I think I'll surprise him by starting a game. :)
- Almost done with my latest story for Garrett. I think I have one page or so left to do, and then I can send it off! Whee!
- Getting more parts of my page done. I think I can have everything ready for a mass announcement at the first of the year. Just need to get the first of my d20 character profiles up. Of course, I start with my own alter ego, Isawa Saisho (Sideshow). I'll see if I can get Dan to do Hida Chono, and maybe have Dennis draw up Shinjo Somebody. If he names his character Shinjo Bob, there will be blood. Hrm... just need a Scorpion, Crane, Dragon, and Lion too. An Imperial character would be cool too. Don't need a Shadowlands character, though; I've already taken care of that. >:)
Well, I'd write more, but Z's softly calling me from the bedroom, so I should climb in bed and snuggle with her. G'night, LJ.
