Well, like laudre and antiarc said, it was pretty easy to get the battery out. Cleaning it off was a snap (oh, how the blue acid foamed), and the only difficult part was getting the old terminals off. I'll probably check the new connections again to make sure they're snug -- had a little trouble getting the positive on there tightly -- but the car started right up with the new battery; no sluggish behavior at all.

I think the next car project will be replacing the headlights, since they're not as bright as I'd like anymore.
