Ah, Return of the King. You were so good. You were everything I hoped for. You made me happy. Thanks to hidaman for seeing it with me (and for picking up the tickets online, so we could actually get in to the 7:00 showing).

But oh, a couple of the trailers they showed proved to me that someone in Hollywood hates, well, humanity in general. The Mask 2? Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow? I don't know who I need to set on fire, but someone out there needs a good torching.

Saw it last night. What can I say--Peter Jackson delivers! Almost makes up for the Mattress Relarded and Mattress Revulsions, in this year of Extraordinarily Bad Movies. Anyway, best movie of the year, bar none--on to the Oscars! Old Man
