Sep. 21st, 2003 10:30 pmAnother productive day. The morning sucked a bit - Z was ill, and I was dead tired - but by 1 PM or so, we were feeling better (or at least I was - Z took a nap over at the new house at my mom's insistance.) Worked until about 7 PM. What did we get done in that time?
- Master bedroom painting is complete; room's ready for us to star moving things in
- Bathroom wall is spackled (needs a couple more layers), floor is swept up and primed for tile, tub and toilet edges have been de-caulked
- Living room floor, along with the hallway floor, are complete; just need to put down a strip of quarter-round (thin rounded wooden border) along the edge to cover the edges
- Office floor has been started; just need to do the custom-fit tiles around the edges
It may not sound like a whole lot, but believe me, it's a huge bit of progress. The living room just needs repainting (which Mom and Z can do on Tuesday) and the quarter-round, and it's done. Bathroom's almost ready for rebuilding; by the end of tomorrow night, we should have the tile down and the walls repainted (maybe); we might even have the new sink in. We'll be waiting for the walls to dry, so I wonder if we'll end up putting in the new kitchen sink in the interim.
Anyway, I'm babbling now. I'm just happy to see everything moving along so swiftly. We should have no problem moving the majority of our possessions next weekend. If anyone wants to help us cart boxes to the new house, the help will be greatly appreciated.
