(no subject)

I need human Warcraft 3 opponents. The computer keeps schooling me, but I keep trying.

Was feeling crappy earlier today - I blame the weather, since it just takes a change in sunlight or air pressure to trigger a slowdown in my body - but feeling good tonight. Had some great lo mein for dinnerr, got most of our paperbacks packed up, and decided to take my fight to the computer in WC3. Lost horribly, but looking back, I was not at the top of my game. Wasn't scouting or creeping enough, wasn't constantly building or teching, poor use of hotkeys. Did repel one early attack, though, which was good. Slowly improving. Need a human opponent, preferably one who isn't so experienced as to utterly thrash me.

But then, isn't that the story of my gaming life? ^_^

I don't own the game so if I played you I'm sure you'd school me.

But anyway...I got to thinking, if you don't mind, could you sometime give me some technical advice on how to build my webapge?

I know you're really busy right now, so if you don't have time that's cool, I just might ask again later.

Ah, but if you don't own the game, you can't play it for me to school you. ^_^

And sure, after the move's over, I'd be glad to talk to you about webpage options.

Wc3 against the computer is all about speed. An optimum build order while churning out many units deployed correctly makes much happy.

Say you are doing human:

PeonX4
Hero Altar
PeonX2
Barracks
PeonX2
Barracks
Peon
Add footmen as appropriate, and get out and kill those easy creep camps quick. Its XP for your hero (( the game is very much hero centered )), and its free gold.
Lumber Mill
Blacksmith
Add a couple ranged attackers
Upgrade town
Look for first expansion.

Its a little different for the other sides, but you get the idea. Get two primary unit builders out as fast as possible and keep them running whenever you have gold/upkeep to spend. Level your hero off creeps.

I can beat the computer fairly regularly on normal, your milage my vary.

Oh yes. Forgot farms. They are cheap. Keep a peon running on straight farm production until you are around 70 food, and then you don't need to worry about it. Not building enough food generators is a choke, and chokes are death.

Thanks for the tips! I have noticed that choking effect from time to time. Sometimes I remember to build enough food generators, sometimes I don't. Therein lies my biggest weakness - I'm always forgetting to do one thing because I get too focused on something else. I'll focus on building or teching, and not on creeping, or vice versa. Scouting invariably gets forgotten.

Really, I just need to play (a lot) more, watch (a lot) more replays, and find a consistent style that works for me (once the extra playing and watching are done).
