Went to buy Dennis's birthday present at the mall, and of course, no trip to the mall is complete without a game or two of DDR. Sure, it's just USA Mix, which has a much looser timing system than the Japanese originals, but still, it's fun and it's a good workout. So, despite the asthma that kicks me in the ass when I play in cool weather, I give it a shot.

I did something I've never done - I got an AAA (that's at least an S, possibly a SS for you Japanese DDR fans) on Dynamite Rave standard. Sure, it's only a five-foot song, but the best I've ever gotten a AAA on before was a 3-foot song. On top of that, I got an AAA on End of the Century as well. Two first-time triple-As on one night is worthy of celebration. And on top of both of those, I tried Trip Machine, a six-foot song, and actually got an A on it. My score would have been a B or C on a Japanese machine, but that's still good considering how I've done on 6-foot songs in the past. Turns out the key is to get half-beats and off-beats down... that's what separates the six-foot songs from their easier companions.

Anyway, time to watch a movie with Z and snuggle on the couch. Does the night stop getting good? :)

I have to ask.

What the FUCK did you just say? Six foot song? Isn't Triple A some sort of battery?

Someone get the fucking pope, Barr's speaking in tongues.
