Ein's taken to howling when I leave the apartment now. Poor guy; he's so lonely. I was thinking about going to Mark's tonight to hang out with the guys, but I think I may just stay home with the four-footed one to make up for being gone at work during the week.

Talked to Z earlier. She's having a great time in Baltimore; she's finding herself enjoying Otakon more than A-Kon. She says it's mostly because A) it's bigger, and B) Baltimore is easier to walk around in. She's been enjoying looking out on the bay. She's now planning to get an art table for A-Kon, and have the sales she makes there pay the way for us both to go to Otakon, and then have the art she sells at Otakon be her profit for the two-con circuit. Sounds like a good plan to me.

Got a little Warlord deckbuilding done, and going to do more today. Time to make the "Fast, mobil, deadly" deck that Dan wants (and no, that's not supposed to be "mobile"; it's "mobil" for a reason). Got to tweak a couple of other decks. Sent off two trades today, along with a couple of demo decks to help out a guy who got cheated on a trade (by someone who also cheated me, apparently for the same cards). Tallied up the money I've spent on postage this week, and it's been almost enough to buy 3 packs of cards. I've gotten much more than 3 pack's worth of cards, though, so I consider it money well spent.

East Coast vs Mid West...

well, next year A-kon will be downtown instead of at the airport...however there is a major difference between coast cities and landlocked ones...that being transportation...even in the downtown regions, there's more stuff closly packed in coast cities and you can either walk or take subways to get to them all...but in the midwest cities, even in the downtown you can sometimes walk, but for the most part the downtown is for business and the like, not a place for food, folks and fun...so cars are still needed...(although with the kon not being at the airport it will be easier to get in and out of, and that whole parking validation mess up won't happen *grumble*, and things will be closer to drive to...

And i'll let you all try to talk me into Otakon...but with it being the same month as animefest...that's still going to be bad thing...(then again maybe i should go back down to 1 kon a year...) (and yes the cost of flying to the east coast is a bother to me as well...)
