Resurrection.
At work, I've raised my optical mouse from the dead!
Well, sort of. The USB-to-PS2 adapter kills it again, and it only works in one of my PC's USB ports (must check the other to see if it's bad). Of course, USB means it hangs if the system hits some heavy CPU usage, so it's not 100% as responsive as it was before.
And it occasionally hangs on the page for no reason. And when I first re-plugged it in, it took several minutes to start reading surfaces properly. It could read my palm, for example, but not the top of my desk. It's better now, but still...
...so, in summary, I've raised my mouse from the dead, and made it undead. It's a zombie mouse now. Don't feed it any salt.
