The doctor gave me the official diagnosis on my rash: a severe case of poison ivy. Way to go, me. There must have been some in the vines I was pulling/trimming from the sidebox two weeks ago, and thanks to the time-delayed nature of poison ivy, it didn't start making itself known until we were on vacation. That's also why the big patch on my side and leg didn't show up until a few days later - different patches of skin react differently. The good news is that at this point, it should be near the end of any "new" rashes. A few more days of irritation, and everything should start fading away.

Still, the itchiness and irritation... oh God, the itchiness and irritation.
