The Ten Words contest is closed, and at feeple 's insistance, here are my entries (which are not nearly as freeform or humorous as his):

• The Cenarion Circle despaired, for few heroes came to Silithus.
• "I prefer Stratholme wood," explained the cook. "Very slow burning."
• The auctioneer longed for sleep, his legs tired from standing.
• In Oslow's dreams, the bridge at Lakeshire was finally complete.
• The Fel Reaver's foot brought his protest to an end.
• Onyxia sighed, glad that Bolvar had no short-term memory.
• For nine days, he hunted the elementals for their essence.
• With one final strike, Kael'thas's head fell from his shoulders.
