I have just seen the greatest DVD boxed set ever.
The Modern Marvels Engineering Disasters DVD Collection
You have to understand, this show is like a potent cocktail of crack and porn for me. The combination of seeing the spectacular wreck/collapse/explosion (or its devastating aftermath) and finding out the hidden flaw that caused it just makes my brain do backflips of pure fascination. It's mildly morbid, I admit, but it's also one of those shows that I can just watch over and over again. It's the thrill of solving a mystery/problem, even if I already know the answer.
Is it worth $350? YES. I don't have the money to get it, but it would be worth every penny.
