nockergeek | Baby, day one

(No, I'm not planning on doing a day-to-day baby journal. I may post about baby things from time to time, as they represent a major change in my life/our lives. However, I know that not everyone is interested in reading, so I'll be LJ-cutting them all and carefully tagging them.)

Finishing up the first day with Andromeda. Changed my first diaper, which wasn't nearly as hard as I thought it would be. Still working on getting my swaddling technique down, but man, when I get it right, she just chills out and drifts off. I've also discovered that she likes quiet Ben Folds Five songs; so far, I've sung Cigarette and the first couple of verses of Boxing to her, and she seemed to have liked it. This is good, because my mind is totally blank on good lullabye songs. I think I like the idea of singing piano-driven alt-rock ballads to her.
