Update
Well, looks like we're going to miss a 4/20 birthday.
As of an hour ago,
the_z hadn't progressed any further in terms of dilation. At this point, it's looking like it's going to be a C-section birth. Z's having solid, regular, heavy contractions, but they're not progressing any. If anything, she's getting tired... possibly too tired to do any pushing. The decision on whether or not to go in after the baby will be made soon, and I don't know if I'll get to post between then and delivery.
Soooo... I will most likely return with baby pictures on 4/21, one way or another.
EDIT: She's not progressed any more. Looks like surgery will come soon, as they're taking her off the petocin (induces contractions, for those who don't know).
EDIT THE SECOND: C-section has been confirmed. However, another patient of our OB at another hospital needs an emergency C-section, so we've been bumped back two hours. Around 2 AM or so (yes,
xvolph called it), we should be ready for the delivery. Z's getting some much-needed rest right now.
EDIT THE THIRD: Many props to the people at Forumopolis for being awesomely supportive to somebody who barely posts there. Knowing that so many people have been pulling for us has made this a lot easier to get through.
