hidaman joined us for fajitas, fireworks, and Guitar Hero tonight. (Yes, I messed up the alliteration. Too bad.) It was good to have company, and be in the frame of mind to enjoy said company. Besides, a meal is always better shared with friends.

The fireworks display was beautiful. There was some concern about it being cancelled due to rain earlier, but around 9:45 we saw a burst and heard (no, more like felt) the report a second later - we live less than a mile from the park, so it was intense. The higher bursts were visible over the neighbor's trees, and the lower ones could be seen through them. All different colors and styles - stars, rings, doubles, clusters, chasers. Ein hated it, of course, as he hates percussive/explosive noises, but we loved it.

Doing much better than this time last night.
