Good news/bad news/good news/bad news...
Good news: I got paid today.
Bad news: Most of that money will go to bills.
Good news: Z got a raise this week, and got a bigger paycheck than expected.
Bad news: Most of that went to getting her Discover card caught up...
Good news: ...but there was enough left to get her a new bra, because Lane Bryant had an awesome sale.
Bad news: We also had to pay $30 to get the Lane Bryant card caught up (which has already been deactivated).
Good news: But that's one less bill to worry about, right?
Bad news: The rest of the bills, though, will take us to having just around $170 in the bank, and that's not even full payments; that's just what we can work out with the creditors.
Good news: However, that doesn't count Z's paycheck next week, my eBay auctions, or the $50 I'm supposed to get for a bunch of my L5R cards.
Bad news: Of course, we can't count on eBay auctions forever -- I'm running out of cards to sell!
Best news: BUT MY CAR IS PAID OFF THIS MONTH! HUZZAH! That's $245 I won't have to pay next month. If we can (barely) make our bills (and that includes some back payments) on what we've got this paycheck, next month we'll do fine. We're on our way back out of this hole of debt. One massive debt down... seven to go. Fortunately, four of those only take about $20 a month each, so we should be fine.
