The job I just got requires me to learn ASP and Perl and use Access and SQL Server. I already know PHP and MySQL, and my boss said he wasn't opposed to transferring everything over to PHP, but my God, the number of scripts they have here - it's much easier for me to learn the languages than the other way around. Not to mention it'll make me more hire-able the next time around.
I'm actually doing perfectly fine on the ASP - the last time I did some, I ended up beating my head against the desk because it hurt slightly less than the ASP did - I'm just running into problems on this stupid Access test database I've got, because I can't figure out if it's not letting me add to it because of permissions on the database, the script, the server, or if it's something else completely different that I don't know anything about.
