Jump off the bridge with me!

This is the problem with LJ, we all think we are close, but we know nothing about each other. To rectify this, I want you to ask something you think you should know about me. Something that should be obvious, but you have no idea about.

Then post this in your LJ and find out what people don't know about you.

Is east side or west side better? You know, from a Missourian perspective?

Back when you were in Independence, did you hang out at Myths and Legends? If so, do you know what happened to them/where they went?

So what's your favorite resturant?

Dumb question I know but I really don't know you all that well...

I've been to Myths and Legends once, and that was over a year ago. If it's disappeared since then, don't know what happened to it. Last time, it was near the intersection of 23rd and Noland, on the southbound side of Noland, in a little office building tucked behind another building.

Beyond that, though, I have no clue.

My wife (who's also from the St. Louis area) and I have these debates from time to time. She likes the hills and rivers in St. Louis, and she also likes how it's more closely-packed than KC. On the other hand, I prefer the flat, open, spread-out Kansas City plains. As far as actual city contents, though, it's six of one, half-dozen of the other.

But if I had to narrow it down to one thing that tips the scales towards KC in my eyes, it's the speed limits. Namely, it's that speed limits in KC almost all end in 5, while speed limits in St. Louis almost all end in 0. Stupid distinction, I know, but for some reason, it's a pain in the ass for me, mostly because my spedometer is marked out in fives (5,15,25,35,etc.) and I'm used to driving at 35,45,55,65. Driving at 40 or 60 just feels weird to me.

Hops. Even though it's gone now, it's still my favorite KC restaurant. Nothing else comes close in my eyes. I miss my Jamaican Top Sirloins.

If I had to pick a restaurant that's still open, though... probably Zio's.
